Haven't updated in forever, sorry

Well someone reminded me about my blog today and I'm like oh wow I forgot about it and decided to go ahead and update it. I guess I will mainly talk about my poker life, Well as far as I remember I didn't post anything about my win in the 33$ 1 rebuy 1 add on tourney last month for 3.5k which was nice. I guess thats where I will start, I cashed out some of it left plenty to build up off, slowly but smoothly builded back up to about 5k. I also had about a 2 week break, which I cameback from like a week or two ago, I think. At first I didn't quite have my "touch" and was having a hard time winning but few days later I won the 75$ stud h/l, the funny part is that was my second stud h/l tourney ever played. Only time I ever played stud h/l was in horse, and I don't really play horse that much. It wasn't really that much but hey for about 3 to 4 hours of work 1750$ is not bad in my opinion. I been doing quite a bit of cashing out last month and little bit this month which is always great and probably means I'm getting better at poker.
I personally think there are 5 steps to becoming a "pro" at poker. I guess I will try to smart here for little bit. First one which is where everyone starts is, of course the beginner, I don't really know anybody that was born and already knew how to play, this step we learn hand rankings, pot odds, percents and outs and stuff like that, basically the math and logic behind poker. Step 2, improving beginner, well we probably fell in love with the game, we are getting sick of losing and we want to actually start winning, we are trying to get better and be able to make good decisions, we still sometimes chase too much, make silly mistakes basically, we do win occasionally but not that much, we want to start winning more. step 3, I think quite a bit of online poker players are on this step, I'm going to call it semi good player, now we are getting the hang of it, we are trying to get rid of our silly calls, chases, tilting, etc. we now know how to win more often, although occasionally we still make those mistakes, maybe because we still don't handle the emotions properly, or maybe we are rushing and being impatient, but we do start winning little here and there, and lose some here and there. Now step 4, I think is one of the toughest steps in my opinion, "solid player", now we are where we start winning quite a bit, probably not enough to live on but pretty decent side money to spend on fun things, laptop, ipod, monitor, tv etc etc. Now we are where we learned all there is about poker, we calculate our odds and outs in few seconds, we start making reads on people, we start really getting deep in hands, we think about hands in all ways possible, we start seeing patterns and stuff like that. We go deep in a lot of tourneys, have small cashes, but like I said now we are on that step where the next step is becoming a pro and playing poker for a living, I'm sure many of us thought, dreamed, tried or w/e to become a pro, not many will have success with this, because not many know what they are getting into. Many people think, well I can get up and go to bed whenever I want, I will win some tourneys and I will be fine, well not really thats not how it works. I'm personally on that step 4, but there are so many things to becoming a pro. Well first of all you need some sort of schedule, you should be playing tourneys that are most profitable for you, but also you need some time for personal stuff, family, kids, etc. Also you definitely need a backup plan, if you just don't have the nerves and just can't handle it, you need some sort of education, so its easier to get a job, of course there is nothing wrong with playing poker on free time, weekends after work, w/e, for little etc money. Also you need money to start with and some money as back up in case you go on a bad run which happens to every poker player at least once during their poker career. Also you need to learn how to become more aggresive and start taking top 3 instead of just trying to make ft, I know a lot of players try to just make ft and then try to get w/e they can get, well to be able to make actual profit, you need to get top 3 places, since they pay the most money, not many have what it takes to take down tourneys, but if you are playing more aggresive that means in some cases you might not even make the final table, that means you need to learn to deal with it and still play your best game in the remaining tourneys if you multi table, which is probably a good idea. This is also where you should be making almost no mistakes unless its just a cooler or bad beat. But yea, I'm kind of tired and kind of sleepy, I hope i made my point. I might have to reread it and rewrite it later.
Other than that I been doing ok, I'm still working on improving my game, I still do make occasional mistakes just from anger problems and sometimes not paying attention, Thats also what i need to do, concentrate more on the game, I tend to do a lot better when im concentrated. I think thats just about it for now, I'm going to go grab a snack and sleep. I will try to start updating this more often, also sorry about being lazy for last month, lol. good night.

Sorry about the hand replayer

I do not know what's wrong with it, I thought I would use it to make it easier to see the hands I played but for some reason there are few problems with it, I will try to figure out later, but thought I would let everyone know, for some reason it doesnt show turn or river, sometiems shows turn but not river, very weird. I apologize but will try to get it fixed hopefully.

Icemonkey special

One of my friends, icemoney is very known for winning hu in one hand so I decided to show that I can do it too, with little bit of luck, hehe.

Moving on up!!!

Had a fairly good today, just took 2nd out of 90 in 3.30 ko and also 10th out of 400 something in 3.30 ko, could of made more $ but I'm still happy with it, lost 10s vs AJ heads up when J came on river, to lazy to get hand history and screen shots and way to tired right now, need to go take a shower and work on my sng article, really have to edit it and see if i missed anything important. I did hit 300$ today, well I just won two 6$ heads up, played a little out of my roll but it wasn't like I was tilting or anything and played a game I was actually really good at, heads up that is, after I finish my sng article I may start one for heads up. Oh and reason I took 10th was because I made a move at wrong time, had A4 on button, CO raised, i was trying to pick up a fairly nice pot so i re raised all in, not because I like a4 but I was just trying to make a move and ran into 10s, not mad about it or anything but I'm glad I do get to move up to 5$ 6$ games. I forgot to take a screen shot of my original roll and when I moved up but here is a screenshot with me at 300$, hope you trust me enough to believe me that I started with 25$ lol, and also I did use my points to help me out a little, but I'm sure I could of got there even without points, just would of took more time. I think thats it for now. Laterz.

You can't bluff me baby

Sick read I had during a heads up.

Kind of a tough handuring the 2$ rebuy

Had to think hard on this one but made right decision, :)

Wow This feels so good!!! ( moving on up!!!)

This feels so great, I can't even express it with words to be honest. I finally won a tourney again, so happy!!! because it has been a very long time since my last win and the best part is I was in 15th with 16 left with only 4-5bbs, I was at like 4-5k with 500/1000 blinds and I doubled up with 88 vs 33 and just got everything going and was lucky enough to win, made few good plays along the way, which makes me feel even better. So much stress, so much anger and is out of my body and so much patience, confidence and so much skill going in!!! Also thanks everyone who watched me while I played, appreciate it. Here is the last hand of the game and I figured it would be a coin flip and I was willing to take it and won :)

Watched that 21 movie, very good movie and I really enjoyed it, so right now I'm back and I'm ready to kick some donkey azz, let it out tiger, cmon let it out!!! RawrrrRRRrrrr!!!!! I think its time to rock on!!!!

Took 34th/1472 players in the 32k gtd

These 2 hands unfortunately cost me my stack and my tourney, we all make mistakes, I realize I made a misread and a mistake, but got to learn from mistakes so I'm happy with going that deep by using a token. I have two tokens left, I will be playing the 17k in about 20 minutes and probably try the 32k again tommorow, Idk, Then I will get back to my challenge.

I'm about to have a Mike Matusow Blow-up seriously

I'm running so fu**ing shitty that I'm about to literally blow up, I just lost 2 times on the bubble first a5 vs Kj ok not so bad, now this is just unreal.

Time for plan B (little back up)

On the first day of the challenge my luck was fairly good and I was doing ok in 1$ sngs, but since that my luck has been so terrible in them, and I keep breaking even or coming ahead 1$ or 2$ which is getting annoying and boring, so I realized that I still had little over 18k points, so I'm going to use them as a back up plan to take a small shortcut. I will be playing 10 1800 point 9 man sngs for a 26$ token and then I will use the token(s) to enter a 26$ 90 man and hope to win some money so I can skip some steps. If not then I will go back to 1$ sngs, I'm just so sick of playing them, 1/4 rake plus all of these people going all in on any 2, any 2 will do, which is also very annoying since they been sucking out on me left and right. So we will see how this goes, hopefully good, alright thats it for now.

Just trying something

Little update on the challenge

Ok as for my challenge, I started out fairly good the first day, doubling up my 25$ to like 50$ or so, and today I just been running really bad and just breaking even and having a very hard time hitting the next step. I will be playing in 1$ rebuy, in few minutes, don't plan to spend any more than $3 in it, so I think thats fairly good bank roll management. In my opinion, I need to work on proper bank roll management, which I have been doing good at last few days, but I also need to work on taking those small chances by playing just a little out of my roll to get that big win, so like for exampe if my roll allowes me to play 5$ tourney, I think I should be able to take small shots at 8$ tourneys, and just practice moving up and down. I really suggest practicing that to everyone, can be very helpful. Also I been practicing on controlling my emotions and so far I have been playing a really good game even though my luck has been terribly bad, and somehow I have been managing to break even with bad luck so I wonder how I will do with good luck. Hopefully tommorow, or maybe even after todays 1R tourney, I will be able to move on to the next step.

Poker Godz Stop Effing with me!!!

Like I said I hate to whine about bad beats, or how is rigged blah blah, but this time I feel like I really need to let it out so I keep playing my A game. I understand luck is a little factor in the game but so far it has not been on my side at all, Today I lost QQ 5/6 times which is ridiculous, I mean Q5 beats QQ, how much worse can it be? Yea I thought it couldn't get any worse either, well I'm playing a sng, watching tv and I get QQ some, I'm like ok cool, so flop comes 334, I'm thinking this couldn't of helped the villain, so I believe we end up practically being all in turn J, river Q, and I have 2nd best possible hand, guess what villain has? lol you guessed it right 3s, at the time I wasn't sure if I wanted to laugh or cry, I was down to 700 chips and came back to win anyways, because the table was really weak. Also whats been driving me nuts, is bs luck on the bubble, just lost AA to JJ on bubble, followed by losing AQ to 10s, followed by 99 losing to AJ, and its just starting to mess with my head. Also I'm sick, very sick of losing 60/40 hands, I mean I get heads up I hold A rag or AT+, I get like QK or QJ to push me all in, river Q, or I will have QK push and get called by A rag and lose, I'm not asking for much, I just want to win when I'm in with better hands. So stop this horse sh*t please!!!. Poker Godz its time for me to get lucky in my opinion.

Bob_tiger attempts a new challenge

Time to attempt a new challenge eh? You may wonder what type of challenge I will be attempting, well hold your horses, I will tell ya. This challenge will be a little harder than my last one but I think I can do it. I will be attempting to run $25 to $10,000 by using proper bank roll management and the rules I have set up for myself. The rules will be fairly similar like for my last challenge so here they are.

Right now I'm allowed to play any $1 sng/mtt
60> I'm allowed to play any $2 sng/mtt
150> I'm allowed to play any $3.30 sng/mtt
300>I'm allowed to play any $5.50mtt and any $5.50-$6.50 sng
600>I'm allowed to play any 11$ sng/mtt
at 1000 I'm allowed to play $26 sng up to 90 man. and any 11$ mtt.
2600>I'm allowed to play any $26 mtt
5500>I'm allowed to play any 55$ mtt and any sng up to $119
7500>I'm allowed to play any $75 mtt
10,000 I finished my challenge, and I'm allowed to cash out some $ and have some fun.
***I'm allowed to do any satelites my br allowes me to play higher buy ins, for example at 600$ I'm allowed to play 6$ and 8$ satelites for a 26$ token.***
I may also make few videos of some games I play, we will have to wait and see.

***After I'm over $1000, I must have 50 buy ins for sngs and 100 buy ins for mtts***
***Highest buy in sng I will play will be $119, so After I hit 6k, I will start playing those.***

I have no idea how long this will take, hopefully not very long, but we will see. Also I will start out by 12 tabling 1$ 9 man sngs, and will just keep updating my blog as I go, I guess. Reasons for doing this? Well I can sit here for hours and whine and tell you my bad beat stories but I find that to be a waste of time, basically I have bubbled many final tables while I was playing out of brm, I took 12th in 129$ KO tourney, I took 13th in 33$ 1rebuy1add-on tourney, I took 24th in 163$ 40k gtd tourney, and I'm sure there are more I can't think of right now, but basically I messed up in about 5-7 tourneys towards the end, I'm not sure why, maybe I was playing to aggresive, maybe not aggresive enough but I'm going to build back up and hopefully hit many final tables on the way. Also I feel like I need to work on my brm once again, since I have been slacking off quite a bit and by posting in here it really helps me, and keeps me motivated.

As for the goals I made last month,
>>> My main goal is to enjoy poker, which I usually do. (not so much towards the end of the month but hopefully we will change this soon)
>>> Get on SNG leaderboards. ( failed)
>>>Make one big ft in a nl hold em tourney. (yea took 8th in $55 1 rebuy 1 add-on tourney)
>>>Win another omaha h/l tourney. (yup did that)
>>> Try to make 3k profit or more. ( failed)
All of these goals sound very reasonable to me in my opinion and I think I can accomplish them all hopefully, but we will find out next month :).

Few good/bad news and some other stuff

I will start off with the bad news and get that out of the way, first off the sng low leader board is not doing to good, well I mean I'm not doing to good in it, lol. I haven't even played over 200 sngs, which sucks, I mean I still have some time to catch up but I don't know if I want to play 24/7 just to get few extra $. Also I got throwed into a pool today with all of my clothes on which I wasn't very happy afterwards but I guess it was funny in a way, don't consider it bad new but I was a little mad. I'm a little tired but thats ok.
Ok as for the good news, there is a lot more of that, since I tend to forget some of the bad ones sometimes. Well first off, I got my own private table on full tilt at 50c/1$ 9 handed and have been doing ok on it. Also I will be making a video right now of me playing few 90 mans, so will post those when I'm done. And here is a little update on the few goals I made last month

>>> My main goal is to enjoy poker, which I usually do. I'm about 60/40 on this, I had fun but had some bad days too.
>>> Get on SNG leaderboards. Right now I'm in like 200th place or so, I mean I can get in top 100 but at the end of the month I will get like only 22$ since I'm not like top 10 or so.
>>>Make one big ft in a nl hold em tourney. Nope this hasn't happene yet.
>>>Win another omaha h/l tourney. Yes this did happen, I won a 22$ omaha h/l tourney and funny thing is when we were heads up I had 10k chips vs 80k and I still pwned that noob.
>>> Try to make 3k profit or more. I'm at like 1.3k profit so by the end of the month yea should be 3k hopefully.

That's all I can think of now, laterz.

Poker, I think I finally understand it now

Well I can just post in here of how bad I played, how many hands I lost to suck outs 2 outers,3 outers, w/e. I can sit here and whine of how I lost a lot of money last two days but thats not the point.I rather not to do that and waste my or anybody elses time. Instead I will post what I have finally and I know this for a fact, I will even repeat myself I have finally learned the meaning behind poker. Last two days what I did was just a mistake on my part, I first started out by playing a few tourneys, then I started playing more and more until I got sucked out on few and then that caused me to donk off the rest but anyways, I just watched move "the deal" I really enjoyed it and I had to think about poker for a second and I think it really opened up my mind.
I won't give away the whole story but I thought the movie was excellent, I think from that movie I really learned what poker is all about, I don't play live much but poker in my own opinion is basically US, ok that might not make sense, but what I'm saying is we make poker, we create our own table image, we have our own style, stradegy, game plan etc etc. To be a winning poker player though you have to pay close attention to your opponents and thats the only way to be a winning player. I mean I could also blame that I lost many of my coin flips in my tourneys but who's fault is that? of course mine if I had played better I wouldn't be forced to get my short stack in with worst hand.
I personally don't play much live, mainly just with some friends just for few bucks and when we play its nothing serious, so there is nothing really to learn other than how to beat few drunks who dont care what happens, yea anybody can do that.
I'm going back between to many things right now, I'm just thinking about this and typing, which is probably a bad idea but I guess I just need to let everything out and just improve is what I'm saying.
Well my story is pretty interesting I think, when I first started playing, I wasn't sure what to think about poker, I thought of it what you would call "gamboling" ( yes I know I spelled gambling wrong) I played for fake chips maybe couple of hours a week, I didnt understand this game, so I started watching it on tv and I would learn more and more new things, and when I played I started to understand more so for example lets say the flop was all hearts, my opponent bets at me, and from what I have seen past few hands he would check with a strong hand and let the other player bet, so even though I have missed the flop too I started to think would he really be doing this if he had it, I think not, so I raise and he folds, that type of thing, of course sometimes I would get tricked by my "read" so I started watching more and more and started understanding it more. Then I had lots of fake chips on stars which I happened to sell to one of my friend for like 10$ of course when I started playing I had no idea what bank roll management was and sometimes today I wonder if I have yet to learn it, so I played like 3$ game or w/e it was obviously lost all of my money, don't really remember what happened but after trying playing few times I fell in love with the game right then and right there, so I decided to take another stab at it. This time I started playing some smaller sngs, won a little money here and there, I haven't really played any tourneys or anything so I'm thinking why don't i try one of these, seems like it would be fun from watching on tv. so I did that I believe my first tourney I did happen to hit itm but I think I got to tight and was playing scared money, thats when I started thinking if I can make it this far then I can make it even further, so my question to myself was how can I do that? so I started thinking, then I'm like well I definitely need to play a bit more aggresive loosen up and I don't need to have the nuts in order to call or bet, so I'm thinking ok I can try that. I kept playing them, got deep in few, nothing big of course I believe my biggest was like 7th place in 2$ tourney, Then I started learning more and more and taking more a bit serious. Then I finally had few nice cashed, don't remember everything exactly but I can say that I started improving, I wasn't playing scared money anymore and even though I was still playing ABC poker I understood poker even more, I learned few new tricks, check raising etc etc. Then I was able to actually final table smaller games and I started playing on full tilt.
This is probably the 2nd part of the story, so my very first tourney a friend of mine who I haven't talked to in a long time says to me you want to play some tourney, I'm like yea I guess I don't know just checking out the site or something like that I said, he goes I send you 26$ play the 26$ mtt thats in 10 minutes, I kept trying to convince him I didn't want to play it but to be honest I did want to play it even though really didn't want to play it with his money, believe it or not I got 13th place in it, yea very lovely number. At the beginning I started off pretty bad and I was able to bring it back from a short stack and was even at a table with umm whats his name, michael craig and even took a nice pot from him, and unfortunately I got very unlucky and took 13th. after that I for some weird reason decided to put 20$ in to heads up and figured if I lose I just save rest, give 30$ back to my friend and just keep the 10$ish or w/e I would have let to play w/ myself, I'm not sure why I decided to play heads up so dont ask why, and I happen to do really good and somehow I won 500$ in less than 2 hours, I was a bit surprised/excited and even shocked to some point. So yea I shared some of it w/ my friend and this is where the good part is, let's make it short and sweet, I had terrible brm was to excited played over my roll, and lost my money. Yup I was dissapointed but I figured oh blah w/e not like it was my money, I didn't really play often so it didn't matter much to me.
Then I started to poker more serious, joined few forums and basically read a lot of hand histories, just to try to figure out how people bet in each case at each level, and after a while obviously I stopped doing it. Of course I have got a lot better and moved up levels, but I like all players still need to learn and improve, I know luck is a factor in this game but it's so tiny that in the long run I should be alright long as I play smart and get better. I can keep going and tell more stories but basically what I was trying to say is I know this unlucky bs will end and I will even get lucky in some situations but luck will balance it all out, its all about my skill and do I have the skill to be a winning player? and the skill to be able to be patient and practice good brm, that I don't know right now but I hope I do and if I don't there is only one way to improve, Practice!!!

Running bad, blah!!!

I have been running so bad in tourneys lately and I just tilted off 55$ but I figured this would be a good to let my anger out and just chill out a little. Today has been pretty damn terrible for me, first I lose to a calling station in the msop main event 109$ buy in, actually before that i lost in a hu tourney with AQ vs ATc when four clubs came on the board, how lovely. Let's see well not long ago I raised it up to like 3x w/ 10s and I get a guy to call with 35off and hit two pair, I know I want these donks to be making calls like that but when they hit against me everytime I'm not sure what in the world I need to do, after that I tried making a move on a guy who was pretty loose and of course thats the time he hits a set, I just love my luck. As for the Sng low leaderboards, I'm doing pretty decent with little over 700 points and 1st is at 4k, I will catch up soon hopefully since I'm taking a break from the tourneys and will play more sngs and possibly cash games. I just had to
let my emotions out since I just can't hit shit to save my life and this is probably a bit messy and I'm sorry but I rather just let it all out than blow my whole roll on some stupid crap. All I want is for FTP to cut the bull shit and let me catch a break.

Here comes a new month

Well let's see, it's 4am in the morning and I'm still up which doesn't make a lot of sense to me but ok. Let's move on, Right now I'm waiting for my popcorn, weird how all of sudden at 4 am I want some pop corn but yea decided to update this and here I'm. The other night I once again happened to final table 26$ omaha h/l, this time I took 2nd for roughly 800$ or so. My hu opponent had to big of a stack for me to compete with him and he was a solid player, knew when to put pressure on me, and Before the final table I made a silly call after chasing a flush i believe, my bad call on the turn forced me to call the river which left me with 60k and then he just finished me off. I feel like I played pretty good considering I have made 2 top 2 finishes in 3 or 4 nights so thats always good.

Also today I happened to d/l the free trial of poker tracker 3, it seems really sweet and the HUD works really good, considering I happened to make couple of great plays at 100nl with it. I was just kind of messing around with it but he is what happened, I had Q2h on button folded to me, the sb was a really tight player his VP was at 6 ( VP basically stands for how loose/tight player is) so basically he was really tight, what u call a nit, so I figured I only had to worry about bb, who was at 31 vp i believe, so I raised to 3.50 he re raised me to 10, I was playing only one table and his re raising % was pretty high too dont remember what it was so I decided to get tricky and call. Flop came J 7 6 rainbow no heart if i remember correctly, he bets out 16$ after thinking about it I say to myself I know he missed this so i re raise him to 48$ i believe it was, and make it look like I'm protecting my "big" hand. he insta folds and i show my bluff, and whats even more funny is, next hand i get 88 someone raises to like 3.50 or 4 so i call. What was great about this is that i hit my 8 with 7 4 on flop a bit dangerous, but I knew he either had higher pp or two over cards, I didnt put him on 56 thats for sure from position he raised. So I bet 6.50 in to 10$ pot i believe, He calls me kind of fast. On turn the board pairs 4, he checks to me, I kind of slow down and check make it look like I was bluffing and I gave up on the hand so on river comes another 8, QUADS!!! BINGO!!! I'm thinking nice come on pay me off buddy, what does he to do, he bets pot 20-30$ it was i think, so i shove him all in, yea that was the bad part of this play i got 2 excited on the river, I should of made a min raise or a smaller raise but I'm still happy with 60$ pot or w/e it was.

Right now I'm about to go eat my popcorn and make a vid of me playing a couple of 3.30 90 mans so I'm gonna go. adios.

Goals for next month

Since we are done with this month I'm going to make some goals for myself and see how far I can get in them.

>>> My main goal is to enjoy poker, which I usually do.
>>> Get on SNG leaderboards.
>>>Make one big ft in a nl hold em tourney.
>>>Win another omaha h/l tourney.
>>> Try to make 3k profit or more.
All of these goals sound very reasonable to me in my opinion and I think I can accomplish them all hopefully, but we will find out next month :).

Screen Shot for the omaha h/l

well here it is, also forgot to mention I got 13th in 24k gtd earlier today, bad luck in the end but I guess it worked out in the end.

Been a long time!!!

Wow, I'm not even sure where to start so many great news, good news and obviously some bad dissapointing ones too. I will start with the good stuff, well first of all I bought myself a nice brand new laptop Dell Inspiron 1526 with some "special" really good spyware and antivirus programs so I can watch porn, lol jk. But yea this laptop is amazing, lay in bed play poker, watch tv play poker, good life and it all thanks to that challene I did, oh yea it was about 1.1k i believe.

Another amazing news is that I won another omaha h/l tourney after starting out with a tuff day at satelites with a lot of unlucky bad beats and such. I won about 1.2k after I beat same guy I played in this exact same tourney last time I won this tourney, 26$ pl omaha h/l 2nd time I won this one and also won a 26$ limit omaha h/l one long time ago. I will post the scree shot after I'm done with this.

Also I'm kind of dissapointed about my old computer, had couple of good vids on it one was 3.30 90 man and another dont remember to be honest but my computer messed up, was having hard time uploading and they got deleted basically, which was dissapointing obviously.

Also I have been a bit lazy, acually to lazy with some breaks from poker and not to good of a luck since I tilted of quite a bit of my roll but I have builded back up and back to being smart and patient again. I was going to try to get on sng leader boards this month but didn't do it, was on it for little at beginning but couldn't keep up so thats one new goal for next month. I'm rolled up for 20$ 9 mans after my win tonight so I will be playing a lot of those and will see if I can hopefully get on leaderboards this month. Also I'm a bit dissapointed at myself for doing some crazy brm mistakes but I had fun while doing it got to admit. I bubbled two 500$ sngs lost 33 to 810 and lost a8 to qk we had same stacks all in pre both times. Unlucky but its a lot of fun playing sngs at that high of level, those were my last 500$ sngs for a while until I hit 50k which probably won't happen for a while.

Watched this guy today took 2nd in sunday mill on stars for 105k after a 3 way chop and 1st in 750k gtd in one, so sick and RIGGED obviously. he made like 240k or close to it, must be nice sleeping right now after those long hours of play. Also watching scotty nguen PWN in 50k horse Wsop event #49 i believe he is 1st out of 3 with a huge chip lead right now 11 mill vs 1.6 and 1 mill or close to it last i checked. First place is 2 mill after 5 days of play which is very very sick.

Don't know if I mentioned this or not, but just recorded a 55$ mtt which i was unlucky vs a donk
made a correct read and everything, basically it was more of just testing out to see if I could
get it to work or not. I uploaded it on youtube, it said uploaded but now its processing or something like that, will see how that goes. Well anyways I think thats about it for now, will post anything else that comes to my mind. Also I will try to start updating more often again and not be lazy.

Request what kind of video you want?

I got 30 day free trial for camtasia so I will try to make some vids in these 30 days so if you would like to request a video from me you can email me at bob_tiger55@yahoo.com and make sure to tittle it vid request or something like that so I know. I will make one for just about everything, so just let me know what you want to see.

I love poker!!!

Sorry for not updating this for about two weeks but I have been a little busy and really didnt feel like updating until today. Since april 3rd I have run my 0$ br up to 3.1k or so and cashed out 300$ the other day and waiting for my check. Other than that everything is about the same, I have a lot less time to play since I got other stuff to do but I play as much as I can when I'm in a good mood. I have been doing pretty good on br management even though I played a little outside my br management once or twice here and there, but I have my reasons for it. I had a nice profit for the day and felt like I could risk little % of my profit so its all good.
Also the other day i downloaded this sweet program called camtasia and its pretty cool. I will be making some videos most likely on the weekend havent really decided exactly what kind but I'm sure i will include 90 mans and prolly 6 handed.

My video

Ok well here it is, I may make another video on some other game sometime in future, but not sure its a lot of work and then i have to get my friend to fix it if its to big, so we will see.

I hope this helps improve your game if you watch this and help you be succesful at sit n gos. I may do one at higher limit to show some more stuff that may work at higher level but not at low limit because of calling stations.

this is part 1 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SYKE18A0

this is part 2 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CL30RNEH

thx for watching if u do, also dont be shy to post and tell me what you think about it

Screen shot and summary of my challenge

Well there it is, I'm pretty proud of myself and Hopefully I can win a lot more $. My goal for this month is fairly simple I think. I want to earn Iron status and get some iron medals, oh ya and of course make some $, it dont really matter how much since i dont play this for a living.

Ok I just want to give some tips to players. If you ever decided to try something like this, and you dont even have to start with step 1 you can deposit like 50$ and go ahead and start at step 2, but most important thing is don't rush it. If i did it in about a month ( - 9 days break) it doesnt mean you can do it just as fast or faster, basically what I'm saying is time is on your side, all of those tables will still be there tommorow or and after tommorow and etc etc. I wish gl to anybody that will try and repeating this, just take your time, good bank roll management and patience is the key. I also dont suggest playing many tables unless you are comfratable enough and experienced to do so. Well I think thats about it :) !!!

Been lazy!!!

It's been so long since I updated this so I have a lot of catching up to do. I think this might take a while, lol. Well first things first, I hit my goal on april 30th, I was a little over 1200 after taking 2nd in a 26$ 90 man. I also been doing pretty good in tourneys. I have been doing great in 6 handed tourneys, I took 11th and 12th place in 11.5k gtd 26$ tourney two days in a row. Today I was playing it i get AK and one there was a pro at my table, he raised i re raised and we ended up all in, he had 88 vs my AK unfortanutely i lost and was left with 430 chips, then couple of hands later he took me out with 66 vs my a9. I took 4th in the 5.50 rebuy 7k gtd tourney out of 445 players, unfortanutely i got a bit unlucky at the end. I lost 10s to AK got down to 200k then i got back up to 350k or so, i got AA utg min raised and unfortanutely ran into a set. Oh ya i was also on a 9 day break and then I came back on like april 27th or 28th and finished off my challenge, I was in no rush so its ok and I'm very happy it was succesful. Ok in a sec, I will post a screen shot and oh ya i also got a video to share that i created when my br was very low but I havent had time to post it. One of my friends helped me fix it because it was to big and it has good quality i think, also has a lot of great info for players.

My first big tourney for the challenge

Just sitting here waiting for the 17k gtd 26$ nl hold em tourney. Its supposed to start in about 40 minutes so i decided to update my blog. Today I havent been home for most of the day so I didnt play. Then when I got on I decided to do some cash games and 3.30 satty to midnight madness, lost the satelite but made plenty of money on cash games. Then I decided to try satty my way into a 26$ tourney since my br is big enough for that. I won a token and now im waiting for the tourney. I feel confident playing it and have a good feeling i will go deep hopefully.

Running Good!!!

For the last couple of days I been playing a good solid game and running fairly good and going deep in a lot of tourneys. Today i won two 3.30 90 mans, in the first one I got a bit lucky heads up and after I was able to take it down but the second time I had a nice chip lead and was easily able to win it, so thats 6.60 investment to get $144 which is amazing and feels great. I did lose about 5 or 6 though so its about $125 profit. Running good in poker is definitely great and lets hope i can keep this up. Also about a week ago I made a video on a 2$ sit n go and it was to big but with a help of a friend it got fixed and I will be talking a little bit more about it in detail in my next post.

Time to talk a little more about my challenge

In my last couple of posts, all I have been doing is bragging and bragging about my achievements last couple of days. I find it great but I still have to be focused on my goal and now work even harder in higher games to achieve it. Yes I was very excited, but its time to let that go and move on. After two weeks of playing I have $254.00 after starting with $0 , which I find amazing and really good. Little Tip to beginners: I do not suggest multi tabling 9 tables of 1.25 9 man sit n gos if you ever try this challenge. I suggest taking this nice and slow because you don't have the experience I do. The goals I have are very reasonable and can be accomplished over time. There is no need to rush anything, nice and slow is good. Always play what your br can properly afford and once again I will repeat myself do not rush your goals and your br. Well I think its time to play some more pokah and return to my mission!

Whats more sick? Quads followed by Quads or Winning two tourneys in a row?

The other day one of my good friends named April got quad Kings and then the very next hand she gets quad 6s which I think is very sick. Then day after that happens I get a royal flush and I also win two tourneys back to back. To tell you the truth I really don't know whats more sick. I think her case might of been more luckier, but I think mine involved more skill. Anyways what do you think?

1st place in 2.25 6 handed tourney

This is the tourney I won right before the 2$ rebuy. This tourney was actually a lot easier to win than the rebuy. I got a nice chip lead and then i was able to boss around everybody and actually i made quite a few bluffs. At one point when I was stealing some guy re raised me all in with 24 and showed it to me. I'm like wow you are good, nice read sir. He goes ya its easy to read a donky that steals every hand. I go I dont steal, I only borrow and using my stack to my advantage, but of course yes I'm a donk. Next thing you know I take him out and win the tourney.

My Quads getting paid off by a calling station

I get AA in bb, i get all excited and everybody folds but sb. Blinds are 200/400 ante 50 so i raise it up to 1172 and he calls me. Then i flop quads and he just bets it all the way for me with 10Q and calls my all in on river, very simple :) lol, i love getting paid of by calling stations.

I took 1st place in a 2$ rebuy

I have been having a hard time uploading my screen shots and it finally worked. I only rebought once in the beginning and added on in this tourney so its a nice profit. I played pretty good overall I think and was able to take it down. I was a little unlucky heads up, first hand A8 vs 98 he doubled up by hitting 9. Then after 44 vs 4kh he hits a flush on river. And he rivered me again in a hand later dont remember what happened, but anyways i get A8 flop comes K J 6 then A he bets big i pushed all in he calls me with 67c and missed his flush and i was able to win it all!!!
Since that i haven't been playing and ready to win some more.

My royal flush

I limped in with 10Js and flopped a royal flush. I didnt get paid much because another spade came on turn and the other player told me he had A5, no spade. I didn't get paid much but still very happy.

Patience always gets rewarded!!!

Wow I'm so excited right now, I dont even know how to express my excitment. Last couple of days I wasn't running very good and came very close to making couple of final tables, but the luck wasnt on my side. My hands would get rivered, I would lose coin flips and stuff like that. I was being very patient, even though I was a little upset after getting 10th, 14th,12th place in tourneys. I mean when you are that close its kind of depressing. I didn't feel like updating my blog at all just because of how crappy it felt After bubbling 2$ rebuy tourney, which i got a royal flush in. Anyways today I won two tourneys back to back and I have screen shots to post. Took first in 2.25 6 handed and first in 2.25 rebuy tourney, very proud of myself and also very excited. I'm up 200$ for today, which is amazing wooot woot!!!. I also sent 12$ to a good friend of mine so thats ok. Well I better start posting my pictures because i got quite a few to share :)

Being able to handle downswings?

Ok my last couple of days I just been having terrible luck. Bad beat after bad beat is all I'm thinking about. I have been trying to play some 2$ tourneys, haven't played many but I havent had any luck in a single one. I made itm in one barely but got very lucky in the end. My AK after i flop A gets beat by runner runner 66 for a flush, ok I get most of my chips back, by then blinds are big i get A3 in sb and I raise 3x times, basically what happened was As Js 3c comes on flop. I lead out and bet he min raises, After thinking i figured out he was on a flush draw. Turn J I push all in i had 20k him 14k on turn he insta calls me, and river is obviously a spade. Yea he is a 2$ "wont call him a donk but a bad player" basically a calling station. Afterwards i get 66 and triple up vs AQ and K10. Ok I'm thinking Thank God, now i got some chips to work with. Later i get 77 vs 66 and we split. QQKKJ on board. Then next hand i get 55, another calling station calls me with 10Jc he only had 3k more than me. He was proud of his call, lol way to funny. Anyways I was pretty mad yesterday so didnt feel like being on computer after those hands. Just now i lost AQ to Q4c after flopping Q 2 3 no clubs, he just pushed all in out of position i felt like had QK or AQ so i called, turn 2 and river 4. I think tourneys are not working out for me so I'm going to play sit n gos for now and we will see if I can make some $ there, if not I', done for today. I think thats enough whining about my bad beats for now :) time to rock!!! and kick some ass in some sit n gos. Git-r-done son. Lol as you can see i got some sense of humor sometimes....nah NOT all the time!!!

Weeeee Step 2 is succesfully complete :) Step 3 here I come

Great newsssss. I finally managed to pass that 60$ mark. Thank you poker Gods, my skills, bad players that donated chips to me, and good players that got unlucky against me, last but not least thank you full tilt. hehe. Ok that was me just being a smart a$$ lol. I'm very excited and I personally think next step is going to be very easy at 2$ level. I'm going to play some tourneys and some more 2$ sit n gos. I don't think this will take me long. I'm gonna say 2 or 3 days until I'm on next step but I'm in no hurry so its all good. So far I feel like I have been playing good poker for most part and I'm very proud of myself. Before time I used to always be worried about getting unlucky and going broke with br under $100, this time i wasnt even close to being broke and I think starting at $25 was a great idea since I had some room in case i got unlucky or made mistakes. Time to move to next step woot woot!!!!.

Please Poker Gods let me win 12$ more so I can move to next step

I'm on a roller coaster, lol. Keep going between 40 to 48. Right now I'm sitting with $48.03 so I need to win $12, ok 11.97 if you wanna be more specific :P. Anyways Full Tilt treating me ok, I get unlucky then couple of hands later I get lucky and going back and forth. Thats about it so I'm getting back to 1$ sngs. GL me

Today, I run like God...seriously

The title says it all. I have been running amazing today. I doubled my br plus $4 lol :p. I started out today 4 tabling 1.25 9 mans until i reached 35$ then i decided to try and 8 table since i will be using 10$ which is all profit of orinigal br, I knew it wasnt a bad idea. Also there was no way I could lose all of them, unless i got very very unlucky. Anyways I'm taking a little break before i start playing again and watching my friend. Hopefully if everything works out alright, i should be on next step soon. I mean only $16 to go which feels like not to far to go. Thats about it for now, I will update again soon.

Tommorow is another day

I think this is going to be my best decision for me right now. I just can't catch a break in these 1$ games, I mean I have lost about 7 or 8 hands when i was 60/40 i lost my last 6 or 7 coin flips. Also just lost a hand when i had these 2 donks dominated, AA vs AJ and K8 3 4 5 6 7 comes up i mean thats just ridiculous, neither of them had a flush draw either. Anyways i just can't handle this anymore, I think if I continue to play I will start making bad decision or will just get unlucky again. I can wait till tommorow and start off fresh. Down $5 for the day, which isn't bad since I still got plenty of $ to work with but kind of dissapointing and hopefully i do better tommorow.

Current Bankroll: $20.68 Points: 247.65

Ok time to work on step 2

I mentioned in my last post that I finally hit $25 and I'm finally going to start playing 1$ sit n gos today woo hoo. I will definitely will need luck with my hands holding up because I'm sure about 80-90% of the time I will have best hand at this level. Also will need luck with coin flips, so here i go. Also here is a screen shot of me sitting at a full tilt table with my $25.

Finally WEEeeeeeeeeeeeeee Step 2 here i come

Ok i have been working my behind off playing and playing the stupid freerolls and stuff. Ok i won some money on stars and then luckely had a friend that would trade with me for ftp $ which is awesome and it means i get to move on to step 2 since i just hit $25.58. Cha ching!!!. I'm very excited but I need to go to bed. I will most likely be playing tommorow and probably will start out 2 tabling 1.25 sit n gos and we will see how that goes. So hopefully tommorow is my day in real $. Woot Woot

Been taking a break from full tilt

Lately I have been doing my own personal stuff and taking a little break off full tilt and played a little on stars. I think I will get back on full tilt tomoorow and start working on my challenge again, other than that same old. I'm really tired so I need to go to bed, will continue with this later.

Day 4 and I got some more poker to play

Day 4, umm well nothing new really other than I got some more free rolls to play and the sooner i hit 25$ the better. I'm currently playing a free roll with 45$ for first place and I'm sitting at 5k with a long ways to go. Also one of my friends talked to me about this private 2$ nl omaha h/l tourney with 1$ for each KO I said I couldn't play it do to this challenge. He said he will send me 2$ so I agreed. I will obviously have to send him some % of my winnings if i do win but thats ok this will almost be like a really really good free roll. Oh ya forgot to mention there is 50$ added to the prize pool which is great. So lets see what I can do today, gl to me :). I Will update this at the end of the day.

Summary for my last 3 days

Well it's been 3 days since I started my challenge and today been worst day for me so far, I'm not playing very good and getting kind of screwed. I did the 10c rebuy tourney and without any rebuys or add on i was able to get to 30k but i got unlucky on two hands and made a major mistake on sb, First off some donk called my raise on KJ pre when i had 99 and got lucky and hit JJ i was able to let it go but it cost me like 4k. Afterwards I got AT on sb which I hate this hand unless i can see a cheap flop and its suited. This guy either on button or 1 before button made a raise and it looked like a steal so I re raised all in and he had AQ unfortunately. This table was over all crazy and very loose so I blame myself for messing up. I also got unlucky in horse free roll had AA2 in stud h/l ended up with AA22 and 8 low vs 76543 when the guy caught on 7th and I'm positive it was either 6th or 7th street he caught it, pretty sure 7th. I also did razz fr and got screwed in about 5 hands, I lost a huge pot when i had 7 low on 5th st and the donk was calling me with Q K showing and some other small stack was raising me, the guy that kept calling with shit ends up with runner runner 6 low. Also had 6 5 3 2 vs like 8 something and couldnt a card to save my life. Basically I'm just running bad today but its ok, there is always tommorow. My first two days are pretty good since i won $ on a freeroll on 2nd day and over all I'm pretty happy how this is going.

Current Bankroll: $9.38 Points: 203.00

My 3rd day of my poker challenge and having a tough decision

I got home about 2 hours ago, been just chilling out and chatting to my friends and ate a nice soup I cooked myself, lol. Took me 3 minutes to cook it because I'm that good. ( microwave lol). Anyways right now I was deciding whether I should play the 10c rebuy tourney or not. After thinking about it I decided i will but I will not rebuy because that would be bad br management for me right now and i want to hit 25$ before i start playing 1$ games. I think I will treat this as a free roll because they play just as bad, so even if i lose it will only be 10c and don't think 10c will make much difference at this second. There is a possibility that I might have 25$ after I'm done with my horse free roll and my 10c tourney, so here I go. Wish me gl please.

Screenshot of the Horse Fr

Overall I think I played a very good game and I'm proud of myself. I have top 3 finishes in this horse free roll, I have taken 1st and 2nd before so that's pretty good. I'm also glad I'm almost 50% done with step 1

Current BR: $9.48 Points: 202.30

My plan for the mission

At first I was thinking about hitting the fake chips and grind up a lot of chips then play 500k 40$ free rolls, but I thought about it figured out a faster way to make $ in my opinion I think. Since now you can unregister from games on tilt. I'm going to play the 180 man free rolls and try to build up some points then play 275 point game to A or B since its 9 handed and my odds of winning are best there. I'm thinking about playing bunch of free rolls until i hit about 25$ i think that would be plenty to work with at 1.25 level which is 20 buy ins, I think that would be enough for me. I play all of the games (razz, horse, omaha h/l, omaha hi) but i think i will stick to the 1.25 nl turbo nl hold em mostly, At first i will prolly do one or two tables at a time but then move up to 3 possibly 4 if br lets me but definitely no more than 4. I don't want to invest to much of my br in play even though i know how bad most people play in these, because this is all about me learning br management. Also i think i will allow myself play any 1$ tourneys but i want to stay away from tourneys with a low br as much as possible.

I think i will grind at the 1.25 level with my 25$ until i hit 60$ then I will hit the 2.25 games this is about 26 buy ins in to that, and level of play is pretty bad still. At this point i think i will allow myself play some 2.25$ tourneys but mostly stick to sngs. At this point I want to grind until i hit 165$ in order for me to play 3.30 90 mans which I own. I believe my roi in them is about 130% right now. I will have 50 buy ins in to that which I think is plenty for me because i make ft about 1 out of every 4 or 5 i play and usually i get top 4 or so. At this point i will allow myself to do some 3$ tourneys but I still don't want to play tourneys at this level. I think i can make more $ playing the 90 mans which are a lot faster and easier.

At this point i want to grind up to 300$ and do some 5$ and 6$ sit n gos, mostly 6.50 9 mans since I do pretty good in them. Also I might play some 5$ tourneys, prolly omaha h/l limit is going to be one of them. I will still keep playing 3.30 90 mans obviously and do this until i hit about 600-700$ then i want to move up to 11$ 90 mans or do 8.80 token games to play 26$ 90 mans. But i will probably won't be playing 11$ tourneys other than 11$ pl omaha h/l. I will probably use some of my profit of the day to do token games in order to play 26$ tourneys. My first 26$ tourney i want to play is prolly going to be 26$ limit omaha h/l because I'm very good at it and have won it before and 9th place once. I only played this 3 times but i also won 5.50 limit including 2nd and 4th place. Im planning to grind this out to 1000$ and then set some new goals after I complete this challenge. So this is what I plan to do and I think this will take me around 2 months possibly more, depending on how much time I have to spend on poker.

My nice run in HORSE and 3rd place finish

After being down to 3k on an unlucky hand in omaha h/l, i just had to many draws to fold so i called and got unlucky. I ran that 3k to 500k and now im sitting with 306k with 3 left woot woot. I just lost during stud hi, had two pair and the other player caught higher 2 pair on the 7th street. I'm actually very happy with my finish and 9$ which is about 40% of what I need to start my mission or my challenge I should say. Let me tell you guys about my challenge and how I want to get it done.

bob starts his adventure

My name is Bob and I love playing poker, I also enjoy sports but don't really have time to play them anymore. Well I decided to create this blog in order to keep me on track and record my poker and probably some of my regular life on it. I have been playing poker for a while now and have plenty of experience in a lot of games. I do admit I'm pretty bad at my bank roll management which a lot of times gets me in to trouble so I have decided its time to fix that problem. With patience and practice of bank roll management I want to run 0 to 1000$ and more afterwards. I have started on this mission yesterday and not doing to bad so far.

Lately I been running pretty bad on full tilt and just losing just bs hands. I don't really tilt but sometimes I do lack patience. I started yesterday with 48 cents and 62.30 points but i lost 60 points. Afterwards I started playing 180 man free rolls and so far won 2 but haven't played that many either. Currently I'm sitting with 200 points and at a final table of a horse free roll that started with 2400 players, so far I'm 6th out of 6 with 223k and in middle of my favorite game omaha h/l so I will be fine. This is my 3rd final table in this event so I'm excited, Also this is first time i played this free roll in about 4 or 5 months. I will post what place I got after I'm done.
